Gran Fondo Fin del Mundo – Cycling Tours

1. Organizer Identification

This document governs the use of the website and the contracting of services offered by Gran Fondo Fin del Mundo (hereinafter, “the Organizer”), an operator of cycling experiences and tours in Chile.

The use of this website and the booking of any services implies full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.


2. SCOPE OF SERVICE

The Organizer provides premium cycling experiences that may include, depending on the specific program:

  • Guided tours of route
  • Logistics services (support vehicles, hydration, basic mechanics)
  • Accommodation and meals (when explicitly specified).
  • Equipment and bicycle transport.
  • Supplementary or off-the-bike activities.

Each experience is subject to specific conditions detailed on its respective webpage or technical itinerary.


3. Participation Requirements

By registering, the participant declares and warrants that they

  • Possess the adequate physical condition required for medium- or long-distance cycling.
  • Have prior experience in road cycling, gravel riding, or an equivalent discipline.
  • Do not suffer from any medical conditions incompatible with high-intensity physical activity.
  • Participate strictly at their own risk.

The Organizer reserves the right to request official medical certificates whenever deemed necessary for safety reasons.


4. REGISTRATION AND RESERVATIONS

  • Reservations must be made through the official website or authorized booking channels.
  • Registration is officially confirmed only upon receipt of the corresponding payment.
  • Spots are strictly limited and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis based on confirmed payments.

The Organizer reserves the right to deny admission in the event of non-compliance with any participation requirements.


5. PRICES AND PAYMENTS

  • All prices are expressed in Chilean Pesos (CLP) or United States Dollars (USD), as applicable.
  • Prices will explicitly indicate whether taxes are included.
  • Payment structures may require either:
    • Full payment upfront 
    • A reservation deposit followed by a pre-tour balance settlement.

Failure to pay the balance within the established deadlines may result in the immediate cancellation of the reservation without a refund of the deposit.


6. CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

A. CANCELLATIONS BY THE PARTICIPANT:

  • More than 30 days prior to the tour: Partial refund subject to the specific tour conditions and administrative fees.
  • Between 29 and 15 days prior to the tour: Reduced refund or credit voucher issued for future event dates.
  • Less than 15 days prior to the tour: No refunds or credits will be issued.

(Note: These specific deadlines and percentages may be adjusted per individual tour specifications).

B. CANCELLATIONS BY THE ORGANIZER:

The Organizer reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify a tour due to:

  • Adverse or dangerous weather conditions.
  • Force majeure
  • Security Risks

In such events, the Organizer will offer the participant:

  • Tour rescheduling.
  • A credit voucher for future experiences, or
  • A prorated refund.

7. PROGRAM CHANGES

The Organizer reserves the right to adjust routes, schedules, accommodations, or services due to operational, weather, or safety constraints, while strictly guaranteeing to maintain the overall quality and standard of the experience.


8. LIABILITY AND RISKS

The participant explicitly acknowledges that road and gravel cycling involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Falls and physical injuries.
  • Collisions with other participants, vehicles, or obstacles
  • Extreme or sudden weather changes.
  • Uneven, rugged, or unpredictable terrain.

The participant fully releases and holds harmless the Organizer, its staff, and partners from any liability regarding:

  • Accidents due to self-negligence
  • Improper use of rental or personal equipment.
  • Failure to strictly comply with the instructions given by the Organizer’s staff.

9. INSURANCE

Participants are strongly encouraged to secure comprehensive personal coverage, including:

  • Health and medical insurance.
  • Sports accident insurance (covering cycling).
  • Travel insurance (mandatory for international participants).

Unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing, the tour does not include personal insurance coverage of any kind.


10. EQUIPMENT AND GEAR

The participant is solely responsible for providing:

  • A personal bicycle in optimal mechanical condition.
  • A certified cycling helmet (mandatory at all times during the rides).
  • Appropriate clothing.
  • Personal safety and visibility elements

The Organizer reserves the right to refuse participation to any individual whose bicycle or equipment does not meet the minimum safety standards.


11. PARTICIPANT CONDUCT

All participants are expected to behave respectfully, responsibly, and safely throughout the entire experience.

The Organizer reserves the right to immediately exclude any participant who:

  • Endangers the safety or well-being of the group.
  • Fails to comply with local traffic regulations or staff safety directives.
  • Engages in inappropriate, abusive, or disruptive behavior.

In the event of exclusion due to misconduct, no refunds or compensations will be provided


12. ⁠USE OF IMAGES AND MEDIA

The participant hereby authorizes the Organizer to use photographic, drone, and audiovisual material captured during the experience for promotional, marketing, and commercial purposes across all media platforms, unless a written restriction is submitted prior to the start of the tour.


13. DATA PROTECTION

Personal data collected during the registration process will be used exclusively for:

  • Reservation and logistics management.
  • Marketing communications regarding future experiences.
  • Information on future experiences

The Organizer strictly commits to protecting participant data and will not share information with unrelated third parties.


14. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content displayed on the website (including text, professional photography, branding, logos, and design) is the exclusive property of the Organizer and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without prior written authorization.


15. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Chile.

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising from this agreement shall be submitted exclusively to the competent courts of Chile.


16. ACCEPTANCE

The contracting, booking, or partial payment of any service offered by the Organizer implies the full, conscious, and unreserved acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
